The 3rd Hunan Equipment and Manufacturing ASEAN Investment Expo and the 2024 Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) Southeast Asia Sub-exhibition kicked off in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on August 22, 2024. SANY, Zoomlion, and four other companies signed procurement projects totaling 160 million CNY on the site.

The exhibition will last for three days, with the theme of "High-end, Intelligent, Green - A New Generation of Construction Machinery". It has attracted nearly 100 famous construction machinery brands from all over the world, displaying thousands of products and showcasing new products, technologies, and concepts of construction machinery to global merchants. It is reported that the exhibition has received more than 8,000 professional visitors.

Hunan and Malaysia's industries are compatible, especially in rail transit, construction machinery, and infrastructure construction, showcasing profound cooperation and complementary advantages," said Zhou Zhangsheng, a second-level inspector at the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce. He noted that the bilateral trade volume between Hunan and Malaysia reached 36.5 billion CNY in 2023. Additionally, Hunan has set up 43 overseas investment enterprises in Malaysia, with an outbound foreign direct investment of 840 million USD.

The CICEE Southeast Asia Sub-exhibition had been held for two sessions. Chinese construction machinery enterprises have been organized to go global, expanding their business in Southeast Asia and the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. It was learned that the 4th CICEE will be held in Changsha between May 15 and 18, 2025.
